At a deposition, Ferguson’s former police chief revealed that his staff did not keep records of incidents in which officers used force against citizens, so long as no one died; in other words, there was no way of telling how often incidents like Davis’ happened.
remember shit like this when they talk about how mike brown’s shooter had no disciplinary record
If you’re protesting abortion, the Supreme Court says you can get right in women’s faces and scream at them on their way into the clinic. Because freedom of speech.
But if you try and protest the murder of a black man, you get tear gas fired at you.
Getting a divorce is realistic. Divorcing because hotels don’t have wifi is not realistic.
Passing away from a disease is realistic. The husband and children of the deceased not batting an eye at her death is not realistic.
Having three children is realistic. A woman who has explicitly expressed not wanting more than two children having a third child is not realistic. Especially not if the same woman doesn’t even look happy with two. (She told Ted sometimes she regrets having Marvin and she did not look happy when she announced her pregnancy in Daisy)
Having a crush on a former flame is realistic. Stalking her for years on end and trying to get back with her after you both lost your significant others is not realistic.
Getting back with a former flame is realistic. When you both admit it won’t and will never work, it’s not realistic.
Not being able to have and not wanting children is realistic. Falling into the arms of your ex and raising his children is not realistic.
Maturing after having a baby is realistic. But when you’ve never wanted babies and the wife who has shown to change you hasn’t been able to make you mature this baby is not realistic.
Relapse after a divorce is realistic. Returning to the exact way you were in 2005 is not realistic.
See a pattern? C&C are trying to claim their ending is realistic without realizing the flaws they have when discussing their characters.
If I ever seem arrogant or anything like that, please know I’m joking 100% I have zero self confidence and I sometimes pretend that I think im dead cool and awesome because I’m actually terrible so it’s mildly funny
"It’s just a morality tale, it’s obvious which gift is best, which one you’d choose—"
The three of them spoke at the same time: Hermione said, “the cloak,” Ron said, “the wand,” and Harry said, “the stone.”
They looked at each other, half surprised, half amused.
Tonight in Ferguson, Mo. Even CNN is calling out police brutality.
We are watching history unfold. Do not stand down. Spread the word.
No justice, no peace.

"In one swift, fluid motion, Neville broke free of the Body-Bind Curse upon;the flaming hat fell off him and he drew from its depths something silver, with a glittering, rubied handle—"
reasons art!clones would have been great:
*parallels with Beth, who he really cared about. they were a team after all
*parallels with Sarah - he goes to so much trouble to uncover the mystery of the clones and protect the clones only to find out he is one
*reason to have more poc on the show. more arts, we get to see arts family
*gay/bi art clone and Felix falling for each other and them comically trying to hide it from people being the Felix subplot/some of the comedy relief of the season
*art the built and intimidating cop is a lot more convincing as the ideal military type over that googly faced half melted Joaquin Phoenix knockoff
*art is interesting and cool and we like him and know things about him and have an attachment to him already
*massive plot twist opportunity: D’ANGELIS WAS ARTS MONITOR ALL ALONG and has more sinister plans for Vic than we expected
reasons prolethean dude clone sucks:
*i may not have a lot of company in this but the prolethean storyline this season bored me to tears (when it wasn’t viscerally disgusting me). other than badass Helena moments I wouldn’t have minded it being scrapped entirely
*the first clone we were introduced to was routinely creepy and/or boring and I did not enjoy any moment he was onscreen. as opposed to Sarah who was instantly captivating
*he is not at all nice to look at. he is the prototypical melty faced white guy. now we have to look at more of him? what a mean joke on your audience.yeah true, white dude clone kind of shits on the social commentary of the female clones and the commodifying and ownership of womens bodies. black male clones could have made similar commentary on a racial level. they just completely dropped the ball on this one in a disappointing way, it could have been so good
